Aftermarket Telematics Sales Executive

Position Summary

This position is responsible for generating new business for aftermarket telematics and driver safety solutions within enterprise and upper midmarket commercial fleet accounts operating in regulated transportation environments. The role manages consultative sales activities across the sales cycle, including prospecting, customer engagement, evaluation support, and contract closure. The position is required to support business growth in a specialized market that demands relevant industry knowledge and the ability to work effectively with multiple customer stakeholders.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements territory plans to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for aftermarket telematics and driver safety solutions.
  • Manages sales opportunities through the full sales cycle, including lead development, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract close.
  • Establishes and maintains business relationships with customer stakeholders in safety, operations, procurement, information technology, and other relevant functions.
  • Supports customer evaluations, pilot activities, implementation planning, and related commercial discussions in coordination with internal teams.
  • Prepares and delivers sales presentations, proposals, and other customer-facing materials that communicate product capabilities, business value, and implementation considerations.
  • Maintains accurate pipeline, forecast, account, and activity records in accordance with company policies, systems, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborates with internal cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, engineering, and customer support, to support sales execution and customer requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of seven years of business-to-business sales experience in telematics, fleet technology, vehicle monitoring, driver safety technology, or related transportation technology solutions required.
  • Experience managing consultative sales processes involving multiple stakeholders, extended sales cycles, and contract negotiation required.
  • Experience selling into regulated industries or commercial fleet environments preferred.
  • Proficient skills in prospecting, account management, pipeline management, forecasting, presentation delivery, and written and verbal business communication required.
  • Working knowledge of telematics platforms, fleet safety technologies, customer relationship management systems, SalesForce CRM, and Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Ability to travel, up to 75%, as required to support customer meetings, field activities, trade events, and internal business needs.
