Communication & Systems Engineer

Summary

Join vehicle communication and embedded systems team to develop and implement advanced vehicle controls in ADAS usecases using multiple sensors, daily tasks, and projects for the advanced engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Defines requirements for middleware communication technology and benchmarks different protocols.
  • Defines and researches industry standards for CV2X protocols and required parameters for autonomous driving vehicles. 
  • Defines and lead communication architecture designing and setup of VLANs, tunnels to cloud.
  • Manages cloud based application communication and setups VMs based on needs.
  • Develop requirements for embedded system and real time operating systems for company needs. 
  • Coordinates with cross functional teams to evaluate, design, implement and integrate customer requirements.
  • Develops and maintains requirements documents and project plan. 
  • Reviews quality related issues and provides recommended improvements.  
  • Documents and tracks issues, maintains the list through the life of the program.

Qualifications

  • System design and middleware:
    • Experience with CV2X communication protocols: DDS, MQTT, REST API and/or others.
    • Experience with embedded systems and ROS.
    • Experience with cloud backend development: Azure and/or AWS.
  • Networking and IT:
    • Experience with networking design: VLANs, tunnels to cloud, setting switches, firewalls etc..
  • Masters' degree or equivalent.
