Summary

Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America has an opportunity for an experienced Application Engineer, focused on Cloud Engineering, to join our team working at the Northville, Michigan facility (Detroit area). The Engineer will design, implement, and maintain applications on cloud solutions. Working along with cloud service providers and other technologies to build, test, and deploy software that complies with organizational needs.

Responsibilities

Primary functions for this role will include but are not limited to the following

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions, infrastructure, and applications.
  • Lead the development of cloud-native application, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Implement API gateways  and manage inter-service communication and ensure seamless integration between services.
  • Design, implement and maintain Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment pipeline.
  • Support requirement definition for Azure and AWS architectural standards for cloud infrastructure.
  • Create container images, run containerized applications, and optimize performance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, design and implement customer requirements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues with cloud infrastructure while ensuring security and compliance.
  • Maintain and execute software changes using .NET framework.
  • Review quality related issues and provide recommended improvements.
  • Document and track issues through life of program.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in cloud computing

Qualifications

  • BSEE, BSCS or equivalent training in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent field of study.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Information Technology, Information security, computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience on working with cloud-based services such as Azure & DevOps, Socket Programming…etc.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience of AWS integration and pipeline setup.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience of Software C, -.Net &.Net Core, C#, Angular, Node, HTML5, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, ReactJS.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience on Backend cloud software development and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of automation technologies and infrastructure as code (IAC).
  • Understanding of scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience with ROS2 environment.

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • MS level education or equivalent training.
  • Experience working on Big Data and Data Science.
  • Experience working on Cyber Security.
  • Experience working on network programming and management.
  • Understand, maintain, and execute software changes using .NET framework.
