Building Services Technician

Position Summary

Looking for a 2nd Shift Building Services Technician to maintain the company’s interior facilities and exterior building and grounds in a functional and safe condition to support business operations 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the operation, maintenance and repair of the building and grounds.
  • Perform Maintenance and repair of building systems including compressed air, wastewater treatment, fire suppression, RTO and HVAC. 
  • Complete maintenance tasks using a wide variety of tools and skill sets related to building and equipment maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace damaged electrical equipment such as light fixtures, light switches, and motors.  Read electrical meters and schematic drawings. 
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace damaged hydraulic system components such as PVC pipe, various metal pipes, and check valves; measure, cut, and install pipe and tubing for gas, water, and hydraulic lines.
  • Perform plumbing repairs, including opening clogged drains, using plumbing tools.
  • Support the continuous improvement of energy usage and waste reduction.
  • Mason Only – Operation of the waste water Pretreatment plant and Regernative Thermal Oxidizer.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five years in similar role.
  • Two-year technical degree in Electromechanical, HVAC Equipment, or Electrician Technician; or a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a related field, or equivalent.
  • Able to work with and around 120V, 208V, 277V, and 480V AC circuits. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to occasionally work outdoors in inclement weather and to work flexible hours, including overtime on short notice.
  • Working knowledge of Facilities maintenance methods. 
  • Working knowledge of Compressed air systems, fire suppression system and HVAC
