Position Summary

Work closely with experienced professionals in their chosen field to apply what is learned in the classroom to real-life work situations. Under supervision, they will assist team members or directly perform day-to-day departmental functions and projects. They will gain an enhanced understanding of their field and the automotive manufacturing industry, laying the foundation for a successful career. 


  • Attend group meetings as required to support IT Department activities.
  • Perform tasks related to projects and application support.
  • Execute IT Testing plans and scripts for new or modified programs.
  • Write technical and user documentation for support and training purposes.
  • Log specification documents to support functional and technical design activities.
  • Learn the structured query language to perform queries as needed in support of troubleshooting.
  • Utilize software coding skills to develop new applications or change existing applications.
  • Become familiar with department-specific Key Performance Indicators.
  • Support Company improvement activities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters program at an accredited college or university.
  • Has completed foundational courses in their major.
  • Overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
  • Proactive self starter with a willingness to learn.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good verbal, written, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
