Quality Control Engineer

Position Summary

The Quality Control Engineer supports launch activities of new and updated products, and provides direction on internal issues within operations involving the quality of our products and procedures.  They monitor all operational processes and work as a cross-functional member between departments to ensure a high level of quality.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate/Participate in launch of operation procedures and equipment.
  • Maintain effective working relationships (including communication) between internal and external customers to provide total quality activity coordination to promote customer satisfaction, product/process quality, efficiency, business opportunity and continual improvement.
  • Review updates to customer requirements and translate requirements to process/work instructions/guidelines.
  • Manages containment activities, prevents suspect/defective product from reaching customers.     
  • Issue invoices for all containment activities.
  • Review monthly inspection, sorting and reject results and issue reports.
  • Analyze actual and potential problems (process and product) and provide assistance to determine solutions and prevent deficiencies.
  • Support internal training activities that affect meeting customer requirements.
  • Support and assist the Quality Supervisor/Manager as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering or related area, or equivalent.
  • Min 3 years’ quality experience in related activities such as problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Effective customer service, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Automotive products experience a plus.
