Remote GTM Manager, Wildfire Emergency Services

REMOTE / TELECOMMUTE - ANYWHERE US. We are seeking a Go-To-Market Manager, with a background in marketing or sales, to work as part of a new venture we are incubating to incorporate autonomous vehicles as a part of wildfire response. The role requires someone who is versatile and can wear multiple hats at a start-up.  You will participate in constructing the overall business plan, identifying business priorities as well as associated business and technical challenges.  You will learn and participate in the process of early customer identification, research and engagement, as well as team build out and resource allocation. As the GTM Lead, you will develop and execute marketing, strategic sales, and customer implementation/success plans to acquire, maintain, and grow the initiative. This role is designed as a 3 month contract position with a possible opportunity to convert to a full-time founder in the future.

 

  • Help identify early customers and map out a strategy to engage in meaningful dialogue, which ultimately evolves into revenue producing customers.
  • Perform customer interviews and devise learning experiments to run to help feed the product spec.
  • Proactively contribute your expertise, experience, and network in developing the concept. 
  • Rigorously analyze the opportunity in a team setting. 
  • Help to develop a business plan from the concept stage.
  • Working with the collective incubation team, understand and translate customer needs into an executable go-to-market strategy that can be incorporated into the business plan.
  • Develop revenue plans to meet the customer goals for the team.  Define, establish and track metrics, analyze the results of the strategies, and iterate and optimize the sales and delivery funnel.
  • Ensure pilot customers are being cultivated and secured for entry into market. 
  • Assess and acquire useful capabilities from the Company and other third parties to help further the overall business.
  • Act as external spokesperson for the new business. 
  • Keep the team moving at pace with a clear understanding of deliverables and timelines. 

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working at a start-up.
  • 2+ years in a senior sales or marketing management role.
  • 7+ years of experience in direct sales or marketing supporting the public sector.
  • Previous experience building early stage go-to-market strategies and teams, and successfully achieving repeatable and predictable results.
  • Successful management of multiple partner/channel organizations.
  • Proven track record in producing sales tools and collateral.
  • Execution oriented individual that understands and can apply lean startup thinking, facilitate complex projects, and oversee teams.
  • Exceptional people skills and the demonstrated ability to gain confidence, build rapport, and drive consensus with team members.
