REMOTE / TELECOMMUTE - ANYWHERE USA. We are seeking Entrepreneurs-in-Residence to analyze opportunities in mobility enabled by Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellations. You will be working with our New Ventures team where we periodically incubate and invest in new mobility ventures. This role requires someone who is versatile and can wear the multiple hats of a start-up. You will participate in constructing the overall business plan, identifying business priorities, as well as associated business and technical challenges. You will learn and participate in the process of early customer identification, research and engagement, as well as team build out and resource allocation. This role is a 3-6 months contract position designed to match successful entrepreneurs to explore and investigate industry changing business ideas and potentially bring them to life with the support of MEMO Ventures!

  • Explore new businesses opportunities in mobility enabled by Space/LEO.
  • Help analyze LEO landscape (players, strategies, and regulatory environment, etc.)
  • Proactively contribute your expertise, experience, and network in developing new venture proposals and pitch them to MEMO New Venture Board consisting of high-level executives at Mitsubishi Electric. 
  • Engage with the entrepreneurial ecosystem to purpose additional co-founders, team members, advisors, contributors in the space.
  • Engage with industry players, governmental institutions to explore partnerships, co-development and co-investment opportunities.
  • Act as internal & external spokesperson for the new business.



  • Previous experience working at a start-up and leading teams preferably in the space industry. 
  • 3+ years of work experience with demonstrated track record of software, digital product, and/or business management responsibility.
  • Experience in working with VC’s/CVC’s.
  • Past roles working at, or consulting to, global enterprises, ideally in a strategic role.
  • Execution oriented individual that understands and can apply lean startup thinking, facilitate complex projects, and oversee teams.
  • Exceptional people skills and the demonstrated ability to gain confidence, build rapport, and drive consensus with team members.


It'd Be Great If You Also Had:

  • Experience with space systems
  • Experience in sensing solutions and capabilities
  • Experience working with large data sets and/or image processing
  • Background in CubeSat/SmallSat systems.
  • Time spent in customer facing roles (e.g., consulting, sales, sales support, customer service).
